About
A public edition, not a plate archive.
The wording lives in Git. Proposed readings become pull requests. Photographs stay with the Israel Antiquities Authority and the other libraries that published them. Each manuscript page sends you there.
Who may do what
-
Reader
No account. The public text, translations, library links, and the record of every proposed change.
-
Contributor
Sign in with GitHub. Suggest a reading. Credit accrues when the work is accepted.
-
Peer reviewer
Trusted by accepted work or by academic standing. Two must agree before a contributor change enters the edition.
-
Editor
The small group in CODEOWNERS. Emergency fixes and academic verification.
Hebrew and Aramaic sources
The working explorer ingested two major sources. This public edition does not copy Abegg values into Git until that license is accepted in writing.
